WordPress sites need ongoing attention. Core updates, plugin patches, security vulnerabilities, expired SSL certificates, broken links, database bloat. Neglect any of these long enough and you end up with slow load times, broken features, or worse.
I’ve managed WordPress infrastructure for over 20 years. My maintenance plans handle the recurring technical work so you don’t have to think about it.
Essential Freight: $75/month per site
The foundation. Everything your WordPress site needs to stay current, backed up, and monitored.
WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates (tested and applied safely). Uptime monitoring with alerts. Nightly off-server backups with two weeks of retention. SSL certificate monitoring. Monthly broken link checks. Comment spam protection. Email support during business hours.
A good fit for sites that need reliable protection without a lot of ongoing changes.
Priority Cargo: $125/month per site
Everything in Essential Freight, plus automated image optimization for better page load performance, site activity logging for security transparency, extended backup retention (four weeks), and priority email support.
A good fit for sites with regular content updates, image-heavy pages, or folks who want more visibility into what’s happening on their site. The image optimization alone can make a real difference for content-rich sites.
Container Ship: $250/month per site
Everything in Priority Cargo, plus 90 minutes of monthly development or consultation time, proactive 404 error monitoring, monthly SEO health checks, same-day priority response on all support requests, and quarterly 30-minute strategy sessions to review performance and plan ahead.
A good fit for businesses that rely on their WordPress site for revenue, lead generation, or audience engagement. You get a dedicated technical partner who’s actively keeping an eye on site health, plus guaranteed monthly time for improvements, fixes, or strategic conversation.
How It Works
Onboarding. I get secure access to your site and hosting environment, run a baseline health check, configure monitoring and backup systems, and set up whatever plan-specific features apply. I document your current setup so I’ve got a clear picture of what I’m working with.
Ongoing work. Each week I review available updates, test them in staging when possible, and apply them to your live site. I keep tabs on backups, review uptime logs, and address issues as they come up. You get a monthly summary.
When something breaks. If monitoring catches a problem (downtime, failed update, security alert) I respond according to your plan’s support tier. Container Ship clients get same-day priority response. All clients get reliable support from someone who already knows their site.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch plans later?
Yep. Either direction, any time.
Do you manage multiple sites?
Yes. I work with folks who have one site and folks who have a portfolio. Multi-site discounts are available. Get in touch and we’ll figure it out.
What happens if an update breaks my site?
This is why I maintain off-server backups and test updates carefully. If an update causes a problem, I roll back, diagnose the conflict, and resolve it. Included in your plan.
Do I need maintenance if I’m on managed hosting?
Managed hosts handle some basics (core updates, server-level security) but they typically don’t manage your plugins, check for broken links, optimize your images, or provide strategic advice. These plans cover that gap.
What if I need more than 90 minutes of development time per month?
Additional time beyond the Container Ship allotment gets billed at my standard hourly rate. I’ll always let you know before going over.
Is there a contract or commitment?
Month-to-month. I’d rather keep your business by doing good work.
